Thunder...Lightning....Flashback==Copyright@shenni bubb2005

Brilliant display
high within sky
Yet teardrops do seep
from now thy eye
Reminder of all
things that do be
The turmoil that's sadly
a part of me..

Oh pray I do
so often for
Release from memories
open door
No scars that be
a part of me
Yet within the storms
I often see..

The face the hands
that did roam free
To take what was not
meant to be
My innocence
A child's purity
You evilly
Took that from me

Oh sheltered I did be
that day
Within the barn
from rain
You delighted so indeed
To inflict on me
such pain..

Yet as I screamed
in childish fear
You laughed
so hard with glee
My father
Taker of my soul
Why do this
at all to me..

Yet thunder crashed
as lightning flashed
Drowning out
my scream
Upstanding citizen
of the town
You are not
as you seem..

Now I cower although so old
A victim of my youth
Yet try as hard as I may
No one believes the truth
