Missing his family, missing his friends, reading the letters he gets from them. Writing them back to thank them for there support, he begans to cry, wishing he can see them again, he holds the letters to his heart.
He wipes his eyes, pickes up his gun, and carries on with his military life. He does his duty as he talks with his comrads about what he's gonna do when he gets back home, to where he belongs. He loves serving for his country but he's not ready to die.
He sits down as night begans to fall, his duty is never done but all is ceased right now. He takes out his wallet and passes it around to his comrads to see his family and his little girl and little boy. They notice a tear begans to form from his eye. They give him a hug.
He is an American soldier and he loves what he does but everyday he prays to God to let him soon go home. He receives a note from his little girl, it says "daddy I love you, brother says hey, and mama misses you, come back home." He breaks down again.
No one laughs, no one jokes about, no one picks or plays for it's not funny when a soldier cries. It's not funny when a soldier is in pain. In this soldiers heart, he carries love for his family and friends. He carries a passion that will only go so far.
Their's a friend in this soldier and a husband and daddy in him too. He does his best to hang on as he tries to go on with his life. He remembers what someone once told him, "you can stand on the front line" and that's what stayed in this soldiers heart.
Oh yes, you fought through so many wars, through so many battles, and alot you have won but alot you have lost. You don't let it get the best of you because there's more important things to worry about, to think about. You remember what once someone told you as you hope it's in the soldier's heart.
In Honor of all the Military Soldiers who are serving or soon will be serving our country. In rememberence of the ones we have lost, I know God is with you as your family is in our prayers. You are not forgotten.
