The Dogwood tree,
Cried tears,
Feeling the weight of the world,
As it held Jesus the Lord,
It told Mother Nature this is too hard,
She whispered in God's ear,
Can you feel the Dogwood Tree's tear?
The flowers now bloom white,
A reminder of that night,
When on a cross sin disaapears,
Blood was mixed in with the tears.
There was a chosen tree,
Where Jesus was nailed on the cross,
The Dogwood tree with stood the storms,
And bore the sins of the lost,
Tears fell from the Dogwood Tree,
God expects too much from me,
Carrying the Son and this world's sin,
Let there never be a cross,
made from me again.
The Dogwood Tree 's flower is white,
A reminder of carrying the knight.
There was a knight,
With a mighty sword to fight,
Slain to rise again.
And save this world from it's sin.
Nailed to the Dogwood Tree,
Where flowers bloom white,
For hours the Dogwood Tree held the knight,
Only to see Him rise again,
His mighty sword to fight,
Nowon the Dogwood Tree,
in the light,
Grows a flower of white,
For the Knight.
He whispered to the Willow,
Cry for me,
Tears fell from the Willow,
She's the Weeping Willow Tree.
The wind carries the whispers,
And angel wings carry the prayer,
Remember the Dogwood Tree,
And The Knight He had to bare.
Tears fell from the Dogwood Tree,
Sometime under the moon,
Now God sends a white flower,
On the Dogwood Tree to bloom.
