 Reflections of Judy

Escape

I watched my heart grow darker,
As if caught by the devil's charms,
I watched my heart grow harder,
As if wrapped in hatred's arms,
I found my heart grow colder,
In the wrath of the storms,
Anger seemed to eat away,
Everything good I felt,
It seemed so hard that day.
to cry for help.
I wasn't sure I wanted release,
From this bondage and chain,
Only God could give me peace,
If only I'd give Him my pain.
I seemed to fight Him as well,
as I started to fall from His light into hell,
Sudden I saw the rain cease,
I let God take my pain,
And give me peace.

I was imprisoned by anger and hate,
I found my escape.
Crimson blood sealed my fate,
That blood didn't fall in vain,
My heart has sweet ease,
I let God take the pain,
and give me peace.
