Christmas Eve

Mary Jane Antonov      12/24/04

It's the day before Christmas and all through the city are twinkling lights and decorations so pretty.  Last minute shoppers with bargains to find, seeking the item that's one of a kind.  Packages tied with ribbons and bows under the tree from only Santa knows.  Hearts all a glow and eyes so bright anticipating the joys of dawn's early light.  Laughter and cheer heard throughout the day as good tidings and wishes come flowing your way.  Christmas is upon us only hours away as tiny elves are busy loading the sleigh.  Santa and his reindeer are fast asleep, knowing tonight a busy schedule to keep.  Off in the distance sleigh bells you'll hear telling the world that Rudolph is near.  Jingle Bells ring and carols will sing Merry Christmas to you and may your many wishes come true.
