Petals In The Grass

The Last Dance

As time slowly watches
I move across the room
To meet with a goddess
All dressed in blue
Her long hair has fallen
Raven and dark it lays
With cocoa eyes
That stare delicate
I ask her for a dance
We both embrace, gently
Her magical moves
Stun me as we float across the floor
Almost above the group
With air under our feet
I love this woman
But she makes me sad
As I go to grab her for another
She disappears through the wall
She went without saying goodbye
Maybe I'll see her again
