Petals In The Grass

Purity

The night air stabs me
Emotionally bleeding to death
With these wounds I walk
Where nowhere is home
I gaze on the agony
A full moon refuses to shine
Through storm clouds that linger
Not a single rain drop cleanses my soul
Hoping the wind would bring purity
Or would blow innocence to my feet
As I walk along the shore
My tears are not free
Each brick in my wall had it's cost
And a high price was paid
For these lessons learned
We all had babies skin once
Now covered with scars
I wish that I was pure again
