You saw me drowning and dove right in. Save me from my sin, helped me to love my skin, my fellow brethren & the people who sin against brethren with different skin.
You removed the disguise and open my eyes, made me impervious to lies, broke my terrestrial ties & took the rose colored glasses off my eyes so I could see where true love lies.
You helped me to my feet when all I knew was defeat. In that feat all my demons were beat. And it will be at your divine feet I will bow when we meet.
I have not always been a man of religion. I found that to be a mistake in decision. Yet through all my indecision you touched me with your divine intervention. I'm a new creation. A phoenix raising from the ashes of devastation, oppression, misguided direction. In your ER to cure all life's infection. No more affliction no more addiction, no more looking to the left to find the right direction. With your protection I have foundation, salvation, motivation, inspiration, dedication and a new found education of your expectation.
Your nobility gave me the ability to be a better me despite my mortal discrepancy's and tendency not to see the limits of my humanity.
Your lessons have been blessings. Now my heart holds no more questions. I will try to walk your guided direction now that I've been shed ed of affliction.
I know you will protect me... I must trust in my faith to direct me.
