A Child's DreamI wish I may, I wish I might Live the dream I dreamed last night. Much loved child all dressed in pink; Mama's kisses on my cheek. Hand in hand we take a stroll Picking flowers as we go. Chatting; laughing all the way. Mama's love is mine today. On we march to the dime store, Toys and dolls we must explore. "Look dear. This one has curls. Perfect for my little girl." At the park, we pause for lunch- Share some stories as we munch. Swing on swings, slide down the slide. Play in the sand. Yum! mud pies. Mama pulls me close to her. Cherished child. Her little girl. I wake up, the dream is done. Oh, but it was so much fun. Would that mama could love me As she did in that sweet dream.
