 I'll Be There

Have you ever been the victim of a horrible crime
Yet everyone still hated you
Have you ever been accused of lying
Of what you know is true
Did you ever hold your head up high
Then forced to hold your head down low
Did you ever wish so badly that they knew
What you and him only know
Did you ever look at him
And wonder why he would lie
Did you ever begin to wonder
If he hated himself inside
Did you ever experience family
Turning their back on you
Knowing that deep in their hearts
They knew the truth
Did you ever wonder if a criminal
Could really live his life a lie
Have you ever wondered
If it tears him up inside
Do you ever wonder
If he suddenly realized the truth
And all he really wanted
Is to apologize to you
What if he did apologize
What would you say
Would you accept the apology
Or turn you back away
I never wanted my family to hate me
But to just know the truth
Although he is living the lie
I am stressing out too
Though I am the one who gets victimized
I am the one who still gets hurt
I thought my family would be there for me
Yet I get treated like dirt
I am telling you now
And I'll take it to my grave
He is living his life a lie
But soon he will get his day
Although you'll hate me
Although you'll don't care
I still have a heart
so call me, I will be there
