From The Heart

Too Many To Handle

Two guys on a string
One in the hand and another in the bush
Love them and leave them
Busy as a bee with two
But the love it hurts so deeply
It's like fishing for fish and all you get is nothing
Your worm is all dried up from the heavy heat of the day
There's no water to drink and you're out of cold ones to sip
Crickets are hopping and running around, it's hard to catch 'em
All this describes these men in my heartfelt and hurtfelt life.
You try to tell them how you feel but they ignore you
They're afraid and scared that your words may hurt them
You write them letters or even poems, hoping they'll read them
Look like terrified pups with there tails between there legs
It's kinda funny actually, now maybe they'll beg for mercy
Still the pain goes on
Still the lies are lied
Still the hurt keeps hurting
Still the love is untold of how they feel
It's nothing but words, why can't they say what they feel?
Tears are cried but I try so hard to swallow my pride
My heart it aches from all this worrying
Will the truth ever be told?
Why is it a secret to keep there emotions in?
Acting big and macho is all they can do but in reality, they're weak
This life I live of emotions has got to come to an end
Need to lose one and be with the other but oh how it hurts
It's agonizing and tempting but it's what I gotta do
The love I love is the one I wish to be with
The other is another that I love, oh how dreadful
Caught in the middle and torn between the two
I don't know what I should do
I'll use my mind and put my heart to the test
I love you and am IN LOVE with you
I love the other and am not IN LOVE with him
But my heart is set on the one that I'm not IN LOVE with
Think I'll stick with him, my darlin' Marine, not the Navy guy
It all comes down to figure out that there's just
Too many to handle.
