Sweet Peas

Tiny sweet peas,
All shiny and green,
Danced till very hot,
Inside the big pot!

Together they merged,
Their hearts strongly serged,
In circles they bounced
Off each other they pounced!

Then the bubbling all stopped,
As the peas quickly popped,
Straight onto a plate,
For a rather short wait!

With the carrots they lay,
For a nice friendly stay,
And were kissed by a steak,
That kept them awake!

Then a face with a smile,
Got a rather large pile,
Straight onto his knife
And he forked for his life!

The sweet little peas
Slid down with great ease,
No time for a sigh,
Or a gracious goodbye!

Joy Weare.
