time change
Early darkness, later dawn
Snowdrifts on my winter lawn
Icicles glistening on a window pane
Bits of ice and freezing rain
Evening is quiet
And fireplaces glow
Diamonds sparkle on the snow
Peaceful moments, a far off sky
The winds blow hard, and breezes sigh
Streets are deserted, and doors locked tight
Closing out the winter's night
Black clouds hover overhead
All the trees are cold and dead
Birds seek shelter in the trees
Not many days as cold as these
Twilight hours a happy one
There's a little ray of sun
There's a beauty any dumb ass can see
It's still winter bold and free
