Light Cascade of Hope
wow, i mean this poem has already been published in two poetry books, and been put on an audio cd, but here we go, my poetry at it's best! :)
Background: Basically represents a period of my life where i changed opinions drastically for the better, all thanks to one individual. It is to do with my attitudes to life before and at the present time.
Light Cascade of Hope
Grey, Black, White, the lights flash,
They fade and dim,
In the dull black dark,
Until they fear,
They try to change,
But twist and tear,
Until the black consumes them,
And the forgotten lights neither flicker nor live,
In the engulfing shade.
Red, Green, Blue, the lights flash,
Its colourful poetry,
Not shaded by monotones,
But beautiful shades of sight,
That display a welcome thought,
And shine in the heart so bright,
Until the black is faded in the soothing glaze,
A cascade of hope,
In the warming blaze.
