 My today's thoughts

ICY MORNING

ICY MORNING

I stood by my kitchen sink
looking out into the back yard

All of the trees and grass
were  loaded down with ice

My first thought was gosh
how will I keep the kids out of this mess

Then the sun broke through the clouds
 The whole yard was transformed
into a diamond studded wonderland

What just yesterday had been a tree
with bare and broken branches
was now  beautiful icy diamonds

As the sun shined on it
The ice glittered with A myriad of lights

Each glittering with all the color
 my mind could imagine

I was awed by the beauty I saw.
Then I worshiped God in my heart

For one day He would take away
all of my imperfection
and make me shine brighter then that tree
