Brittany's Poems

Back flash

Pure and innocent, taken by the hand,
Left without a word, while we ran.
As we left, mom didnt think about,
The "other", alone and quiet, sitting on the couch.
Regret and agony didnt occur,
Because I had no clue, and mom was just her.
Little did I know, it would hurt so bad now,
Because my dad, wont let me live it down.
I never was the favorite to him, never was, never am,
Even before we left him, I just dont understand?
Just because she was left behind?
Dosent mean you can say "you left and shes mine!"
I don't care if I left you when I was little,
I came back didnt I, and your still brittle?
What was I supposed to do?
Tell my mom at 9 years, "screw you??"
I love them both, but I'm torn apart,
My drunken parents, broke my heart.
