The Reality Poet

My Daughter

By:  Samantha Fitzgerel

Note:  I wrote this in honor of my beautiful daughter Emily.

As I look at your lovely face today,
I am so amazed that your mine.
What a beautiful girl God chose to create,
each day more perfect, more refined.

I've watched you grow from a precious infant,
to a timeless and graceful young girl.
How exquisite you'll be as you grow as a woman,
I am so thankful your a part of my world.

Your beauty makes up the very whole of you,
for you are just as lovely inside.
With honey blond hair and eyes of green/blue,
what joy you bring to my life.

My wish for you is to have laughter and love,
treasure each joy, and learn from each pain.
I'll always be with you even when life gets tough,
my pride in you will always remain.
