Tell the truth
Don't lie to your parents,
their trust will fade away.
It will make your life more difficult,
when they don't believe a word you say.
If you want to be trusted,
make choices that are good.
You won't have to lie when you try,
and act the way you should.
but when you make bad choices,
and you fear you'll get into trouble.
You think of a lie to cover it up,
and then your consequences double.
Being honest is important,
when you lie it makes others doubt.
Tell the truth right away,
and work the problem out.
