The Reality Poet

A Sonnet for Soaps'

By:  Samantha Fitzgerel

The Young and the Restless don't live on my street
And the Bold and The Beautiful, a good reality retreat
Eat Cheese puffs, drink soda pop As The World Turns
To the General Hospital I need to go with this wicked heart burn...
Oh to be so lucky and live the soap opera life
in Salem or Port Charles as a young trophy wife
But the theme song from Passions gets trapped in my head
and All My Children, won't clean house or even make their beds
Somebody quick, come rescue me with your Guiding Light
So this doesn't happen to me on all the Days of My Life!
