I Saw You Today
I saw you today
and I thought I would crack
I had imagined this moment
a while back
I saw you today
and I thought I would be sad
but something weird happened
and I am so glad
You don't have no more effect on me
I look at you and don't feel a thing
I hold no grudge or harbor no ill will
no longer do I need any more morphine
because this pain I no longer feel
I don't have to speak your name
or even look your way
I have turned over a new leaf
and I never knew it until today
I saw you today and felt your burning stare
but calmly I walked by you
I saw you today
in all your true colors
couldn't help but want to laugh
because no talking to you
is clearly burning you up.....
