Drowned, Lost...Found

I've been through a lot of things,
Never been through you
You're a smiling diamond
That eases me through and through
What's this sense of knowing
A sudden warm connection
From playground times through guitar strums
Are you what I'm hoping for?

I'm drowned
Into those eyes which coated me
in its silken strands
of freshly molten chocolate
telling me I could say no wrong

I'm lost
Into the tease of knowing lips
that held in their silence
secret promises and a
sunny smile that stokes my fire
Drowned, I'm lost
And I don't want to be found

How you move me to courage
With your burning faith in me
And if I fail it will be
Your arms that will rescue me
You've taken me by surprise,
Become everything I need
So how could I give you up
When you are God's kindness to me

To the darkest of the nooks where I
Helplessly trembled as a child
You've followed me
To sing all my fears away
You've seen that I've been broken
And so you've taken
The fragments of my heart
Into the velvet of your hands

You never hold me back nor pushed me
To anything with you at all
And you, you've seen beyond
The gaily painted smile
Upon the sad face
That has silently loved you

So I'm drowned, I'm so lost...
But I've never been so found with you
