Beyond The Moon
I know that you're out there
Just beyond the glow of the moon,
Among the peaceful silence
Where this heart and soul endlessly dream…
Can you see my face within your own?
Feel the heart that beats eternally yours?
These eyes try to still the threatening flow
As they consider a life without all that you are,
All that we could become….together.
Futures ever so uncertain
Along this path we call “life”,
Sure only of what our hands contain at this moment…
Yet this heart dreams of so much more –
Evenings spent under a moonlit sky
With a blanket of sparkling stars for a guide,
Passionate kisses alluding to a night of shared bliss
Wanting for nothing more as I extend you my hand,
For there can be no other.
Share with me your sadness, that together we might triumph,
As one must come with the other
And I shall not fear the less sweet.
So caress my face as you gaze into these heated greens
Offering up an eternity there in your arms.
Indeed, that is a future for the living
And most certainly a dream everlasting -
