The Answer

Running a rat race
to and fro
never finding
our quiet solitude
This world is crazy
with its troubles and woes
we need a simple place
to go back to
Going up and down
this coaster called life
we need to find
some rest
We need to slow down
think back on the times
when slow and easy
was the best
We still can find
that simple place
right within our homes
in our easy chairs
with our child on our lap
no PDA's or cellular phones
So let's read them a story
forget about our work
it will be there another day
share dinner at the table
and talk to our kids
just like they did in the olden days
