Treasures In Blue

I wonder of the treasures you hold
As I watch your arms come to a crest
If only I could search you through
Plunging deep into your bluest depth

I would sift among your ivory sands
Perhaps a trinket or two I'd find
Preserved only by your sweet caress
And the mercy of father time

If I journeyed farther could I see
The ghosts upon a sunken ship
With corraled windows left to peek
As my eyes relive its final trip

Could there be coins or jewels
Would they have lost their glow
Could I find a crown or chalice perhaps
Taken from a king of once ago

Oh your depths are a sheer mystery
You intrigue me so, it's true
As I wonder of the treasures you hide
Beneath your great expanse of blue
