My American Soldier
When I think of you,
I can't control how I feel.
My love for you overwhelms me,
my desire for you is real.
I want to kiss your lips,
and run my fingers through your hair.
Look into your eyes deeply,
with a gentle loving stare.
I want to feel your heart beating,
I want to feel your body near.
I want you to know how much I love you,
how I wish that you were here.
My arms miss holding you,
I miss your funny ways.
I miss hearing your laughter,
I miss the way you brighten my days.
You are my American Soldier,
you're in Iraq and I'm here alone.
I can't wait for you to come back to me,
I just want for my soldier to come home.
