The Only Way I Can Speak

Nothing But a Dream

I had a dream not to long ago,
It started with someone I didn't know.
There was a familiar feeling when looking into this persons eyes,
Like if someone I knew was behind this disguise.
Though inside I felt my emotions wanting to shout,
Not one word I dare let out.
Then a hand made the softest touch I ever felt,
And I don't know why but my heart began to melt.
Suddenly the two of us were surrounded by the most beautiful scenery,
Holding one another so very comfortably.
Still embraced in one another's arms,
The ground beneath disappeared without alarm.
I closed my eyes not knowing what to do,
Telling me there's no one here to help you.
A wave of panic made me want to pull away,
Until I heard his voice, "everything will be okay."
A feeling I had never felt before filled me inside,
Maybe I wasn't dreaming maybe I died.
I had to see the face that matched the words said,
But when I opened my eyes I was still in my bed.
