Standing By Me
Hello my other half
it's you at my front porch
you there crawling through my window
the purest poetry I ever could write
flowers are nice
but you have been more to me
than just something beautiful to look at
you are my best friend
cuz you are always standing by me
I can talk for hours
you just smile and don't say a thing
in the clutter of a busy day
your voice rings in my head
telling me to smile and take it all in stride
how can you ever know all what I am thinking?
it's like two lost souls
rescued each other from the rain
in each other is where the other one lays
always and forever thank you
you amaze me....how you stand by me
In all my offerings
I feel still not worthy
and though I know a million songs
none describes exactly how much I love you
you are my uplifted spirit
you are my glue
that keeps me all together
so I can live happier
in this world you help me battle all I fear
by simple just standing by me......
