Where Is God?
Remembering 9-11~~~~~~
Four years have passed and still I wonder
Where is God?
I watched in a daze the awful plunder crying,
Where is God?
Noises heard upon the roof foretelling yet another being
Jumped from untold heights;
The horrors left behind making that the better choice.
My soul cries out from depths
Unknown before~~~
And yet I have no voice.
Where is God?
Police and Firemen facing unknown terrors within the towers.
Passenger planes crashed through, they burned for hours.
Terrorists, hoping to find the Glory of Allah,
Producing devastation so macabre.
The Nation falls; repentant' on its knees
And thousands of voices asking~~~ pleading~~~PLEASE!!!
Where is God?
Our first heroes are passengers on flight 93.
Hell-bent for Washington, on their watch was not to be.
They gave their lives: the first of many more
Who strive to keep this menace from our shores.
And Where is God?
The pentagon burns in fatal fire
The roof caving in upon forgotten souls
Who were only doing their jobs, that morning hour
If only our enemies could have foretold.
Where is God?
God was right there to welcome all who fell
Into His Loving Arms on their descent.
God was right there with the police and
Firemen!! OH YES, Jesus was present.
He called all that arrived that day
Into His Heavenly Home, with Him to Abide.
They all stood in humble silence as He Spoke
The words that left the terrorists outside!!!!
He was there in every helping hand
That soothed a stricken face, or smoothed a brow.
He was there in those whose bucket brigade
Searched for lost souls, for days untold now.
He was there with every drop of blood
Given from raging sea to shining sea
He was there in every flag that waved
Across the country; around the world; for all to see.
He was there when first we went to War
To free the world from terrorism fierce.
He will be there, as we do so much more
To bring the world some freedom, and some Peace.
Where is God??? He lives within the hearts
Of those He loves and those that He has called.
In every kind and thoughtful deed, they do bestow
As they walk safe amongst the madding crowd.
God Lives within the heart of all who call on Him
His Spirit Speaks, when words can ne'er express
The depth of Longing, Yearning, Healing Needed here on Earth;
For freedom pure; to find true happiness;
GOD IS THERE……….
