My Husband, My Friend

By:  Samantha Fitzgerel

*I dedicate this to my wonderful husband*

I love the way your eyes wrinkle when you laugh,
crows feet to some, sexy to me, they are that.
I love your soulful, bedroom eyes of blue,
when I look in them, I can see the real you.
I love the way your hands are calloused from work,
but in your gentle caress' they are soft, yet firm.
You have loved me in a way nobody else could,
you've seen me at my worst, yet still say I look good.
You have always picked me up, when I'm tired or sad,
and you somehow find the humor, even when I am mad.
To everyone around, I am your fiery redhead,
you've had to put up with so much from me.
When I think of the trials & hard times we've had,
I wonder why you don't run away to be free.
But I've found, my husband, you're tried & true,
and I know you will never leave.
This comforts me and takes me through,
the strength in your arms carries me.
You are my lover and my very best friend,
I will Love you till my life is through.
We will share laughter and love till the very end,
I will forever be thankful for you.
