Wordly Delights
Hello world!
What can I do for you
Why is it that you hold
Such promise though untrue?
For we are easily misled
Taken from our path
Earthly delights
Wonderful sights
But here is a warning
My friend you must stay away
If your soul
You wish to save another day
Worldly things come in pretty wrappers
Dressed up to make you look
Easily ensnares the innocent
On its deathly hook
But sickness follows
With thinking you are safe
When your mind you overstuff
Too late you will find, soon enough
Stay away from them
A ghastly disease
He torments the mind
Poisons the body
Torment to the soul
Ravaging the conscience
Tortuous, twisting insanity
Is his only goal!
Keep away
Thoughts which hold you
Grasped tights within his embrace
You lose sight of holy grace
Dont let him fool you
Into thinking he is right
Because darkness
Will hold you ever tight
Keep away my friend
From the wonders the world brings
The box of secrets
Holds deadly things!
