Morning Prayer
Early in the soft morning light of the new day,
upon bended knee with head bowed silently,
with Bible open I begin to pray,
Our Father who art in Heaven...
Suddenly from out of Heaven I hear the Savior calling,
His voice flows melodiously through my heart,
filling my heart with hope and cheer,
a sweet peace floods into my soul...
The Lord talks to me about my troubles,
telling me that all shall be well,
and that all I have to do is lean upon Him,
and follow His loving commandmernts...
The golden rule floods into my mind;
do unto others as you would have them do unto you,
love one another even as I have loved you fills my head,
and take my yoke upon you for it is easy comes to mind.
I am filled with a joy beyond comprehension,
and a peace that only He can give,
all is well with my soul,
my heart becomes filled with love,
and I know at last that all shall be well,
if I lay my burdens down at the Masters feet.
