Take My Hand Daughter
Take my hand daughter
There's something I want you to see,
A place where your grandma
Always looked after me.
She used to live in this house
Where I used to play,
Take my hand daughter
I won't let you stray.
There's a maple tree in the back
That held a tire swing,
I played there during hot, summer days
Fresh baked cookies, she would bring.
Although this place may look old
It holds precious memories for me,
Take my hand daughter, hold it tight
I will take care of thee.
You don't have to be scared
With things that are scattered around,
This old house is peaceful
With beauty, nature surrounds.
Grandma doesn't live here anymore
She passed away when I was young,
Take my hand daughter
Songs of old, to you, will be sung.
