THUNDERSTORM
Brooding, tormented, stormy sky
you keep us turning a watchful eye.
You bring with you a torrent of rain
and roll and echo across the plain.
Murderous lightning and deafening thunder,
a burden of fear you have put us under.
The towering limbs of every tree
are drowning amidst your turbulent sea.
Winds grow wild, they rise and rise,
taking with them the gray-black skies.
Nature's fury our wills can bend,
when God's masterful power He sends.
