Internet Attack!

Onto the screen
it flashes in lights,
blinding and mixing
and blocking out quiet.

I try hard to hold it
but it instantly flies,
covered in colour
and throwing out lies.

I switch and I finger
the keys in a rush,
looking and searching
and longing for hush.

But the more I explore
the less that I find,
and it all seems to mix
and deaden my mind!

Once more I try
and crash on the keys,
digging for answers
like searching for fleas.

I think I have found it
but it's always not right,
too much is too little
too dense is too light.

My shoulders are aching,
my elbows are sore
my eyes are now crossing
and my bum's feeling raw!

Joy Weare.
