I Understood

I've always known some Spanish
But never took lessons in school,
A lady asked, "How are you?" in spanish
And surprisingly enough, I understood.

She lives underneath me
I talked in the hall, with her one day,
Still can't get over it
I understood what she asked me today.

She asked if I knew Spanish
And I said, "A little bit, yes I do,"
I think tomorrow morning
In Spanish, I'll ask, "How are you?"
