Discrimination should go to a family reunion,
He should arrive a half-hour late,
Greeted with open arms,
And taken by the hand to meet the new family members.
He needs to meet
His new “black” half brother,
And all of his mixed children.
Discrimination needs to see equal love
The children share with one another.
Black, white, Asian, Mexican
All a part of a happy family.
He should share a glass of Chardonnay wine
With the couple who can not marry by law.
He should see the fond affection they share
Just like that of a “normal” couple.
He needs to be drunk,
So he can tell nonsense stories
And laugh about stupid things,
Until three in the morning.
Discrimination should see
How he is not judged.
Discrimination should rip away
At his prejudice skin
And let it dissolve in the peace
Surrounding him.
His unbelievably fat mother
Should adopt the New man raped of his racism
And he should accept her with open arms.
