Floating on black waves, she comes
her red face peering through curtains of clouds
Distant on the horizon, she's there
but the night makes her almost surreal
The ocean's rhythm sings...
The sea haze begins to part and she changes
Aflame with a coppery light, she dazzles
Up into the indigo heavens she climbs
turning golden, then creamy white
The sky holds its breath...
Glistening on the waves, she's perfect
a diaphanous full moon spilling light
her luminous fingers stretching
far beyond the ends of the seas
And all of existence rejoices...
