Gone

He is gone
He is gone
An unfinished end
I never got to say
Goodbye to my friend
He is gone
He is gone
So suddenly he died
I stood at his funeral
White faced and dry eyed
Crying torrents of tears
Deep down inside
He is gone
He is gone
But can he really be dead
While he is still there so vividly
Inside my head
Held in my memory
And memory is kind
So often I have talked with him
From the comfort of my mind
