 Please don't die

Walking back from work down by the canal towards my home
Octobers winter sunset shining like a king upon his throne
Its shimmering light casts upon the canals murky waters
I have flash backs about what you taught us
Be good, behave and always remember to say please
And to say bless you when you sneeze
Images of youth bring a smile to my face
As i walk silently home staring into empty space
The sky gets darker and i see the wishing star in the sky
So i close my eyes really hard and make a wish
Please don't die.
