THREE STRIKES

You are out of my game
I pitched to you when I was aflame
You couldn't hit the balls I threw
So you're out and it's over for you

Three times I appealed to your bat
Obeyed your rules and all of that
The best pitcher for you in this league
You play me once a week and are fatigued

Because you're weak
The easy way you seek
Where the balls won't be flying
As you leave me crying

Wanting to even the score
After I've been pitching to soar
Your batting making contact
With the ball as your bat cracks

As it pounds
My ball out of this ball park
As thunder sounds
When we're playing this ballgame in the dark.
