Memories Last Forever
I still remember the day I met you
and how you protected me, shielded me,
guided me, kept trouble from coming
my way. Yeah, I remember that day.
I remember the day I liked you
and wrote you plenty of letters
hoping you will read them and
write me back.
I remember the day I fell in love
with you and oh how my world
changed for the better. Still
wrote you letters, still you won my heart.
William, I remember the day
you left for the Navy and how
it broke my heart and now I
remember your phone calls to tell
me you're alright.
I remember because
memories last forever.
