A woman beyond compare
Beautiful in its proper context
A Filipina maiden...
What is your allure?

Exotic.
You are a mystery
Exuding sensuality

The pride of asian race
The pearl of the orient
Sets to the standard of Venus
Approximately sensuous

Angelic.
Like the lady in Boticelli painting
The woman in Madonna's "Like A Virgin"
The smile of Monalisa
The scent of Versace

What is with you
That drives every wonder?
Virginal yet sensual
Appealing hugely to the male psyche
Who wants to conquer
And brandish their prize

Oh....not much of mysteries
But a dichotomy of virtues
A world-class beauty from the third world
Under-estimated yet a standout

Of songbirds and songstresses
Talentedly endowed...
A caregiver, educator, domestic helper
Fine nurses at your service...
Imparting ingenuity
In every corner of your society

A unique color of the nation's pride
Like a fine china...fragile but tough
She's approachable yet unattainable
Understanding yet often misunderstood

She is a total woman...
Modest
Enchanting
Captivating
Bb.Filipina*

Postcript:
The poem was written in recognition of filipina talents and beauty, their quality service exported abroad, admired of ingenuity, exploited to some extent...a gem of every family when sacrifices they readily offered, in search of greener pasteur, from the land where milk and honey are scarce.
