PIE DOUGH

In heaven, you give me
A canola field
A fat wheat field across
Cayuse Road

On Wednesday
Mornings as
This weeks
I pass out vases of
Short green wheat stalks
And tall yellow canola
To the Umatilla Indians
who drive by...

...Those afternoons you are
pie dough in my hands...

...P.S. I knead you...
