M's Poetry
Candlelight
I am alone...surrounded by
the color blue
Inside a poem....
the only words I ever knew
washing my hands
of them many years untold
for now I am banned
my future is to unfold
candlelight, oh where did you go?
you used to shine brightly
but in a moment
the warmth was extinguished out
candlelight I can't seem to light you
for your stem is broken
My eyes are covered from the outside
your words stab me
and even though I hate you
I still feel for you
oh yes you are deep
your blood flows in me like a river
fast and moving....can't cut you enough
cuz I will always see you
even if only in my dreams
and even after I awoke from my nap
I am still sad, still mad
and confused more than ever
as I arise from this bed

love and hate so powerful
but even though I shiver from the cold
my heart only knows love
