Let's walk on the edge of madness,
and dare to experience only what's there.
No fantasy or illusion is allowed to misguide us,
through moments of sanity that are so rare.
What surrounds and contains our visions and thoughts,
must be exposed whatever the cost.
Like smoke mixed with fire, life blinds and it burns.
Our beliefs always changing, they each take a turn
at providing a reason that chaos should reign,
in hopes that reality won't drive us insane.
In everyones journey we take many steps.
Some long, some short by the rules we've kept.
If truth's what we seek, I doubt if we'll find
an absolute answer that's truthful in kind.
And if what we find is not what it seems,
We must redefine the meaning of our dreams.
So if you can fathom the meaning of life,
and won't hesitate when burdened with strife,
then drink deep of the elixir that reality brings,
and share with your brothers and sisters these things.
