Christmas 2005

 

In looking back over the past year, I find myself wondering just how long we must tarry before we learn.

The events of the past year must bring most, if not all, of us to a subtle pause, and a time of deep reflection.

 

It Is A Time To Love

 

As the sea churned up a mountainous wave

That slammed through lives with deadly speed,

And sent people drowning in an early grave.

Human efforts seemed powerless to succeed.

It Is A Time To Love

 

Both English and Greek alphabets were needed to name

The hurricanes formed in the Atlantic this year.

I pray we never again see the same.

And sent people drowning, or dying from fear.

It Is A Time To Love

 

Tornadoes tore through sleepy little towns

Homes and lives were lost,

In state after state, they tallied the sum

And families were left to bear the cost.

It Is A Time To Love

 

Terrorists struck with lightening speed

And innocence Indians again were slain

These satanic creatures from the mires of hell;

Destroy ~~~ with no thought of grief or pain.

It Is A Time To Love

 

Earthquakes shake the forbidden land of China,

And of Pakistan, and Tokyo, Japan.

An Act of God some people proclaim~~~~

My God is LOVE~~~That is not His aim.

It Is A Time To Love

 

Man-made disasters and Natural Events

Spread over these last 12 months.

What answer will help us to understand?

Look to Jesus, whose cause was Just!

It Is A Time To Love

 

Two commandments were all the Laws He Gave

And they are simple, and easy, and free.

"Love God and your neighbor, that's all I ask,

And try to live your life like Me".

It Is A Time To Love.

 

As Christmas draws near, may we pledge again,

And dwell on this thought the year through.

Truly Love any one, any time, any where,

Let me see Jesus' Light in You!

It Is A Time To Love.

This is the first and great commandment.

"And the second is like unto it,

Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself".
