Friend Of Mine
My friend is very special, especially to me;
When times get hard and difficult, who is there?
Who tells me I can cope and master discontent?
My friend, great friend, the one who really cares.
I've struggled and I've fought, through the hardships of this life;
Sometimes I thought, "I've really had enough!"
My friend would come along and bring encouragement,
"Don't give up, you're made of sterner stuff."
It isn't every day someone's there to cheer you up,
Yet my friend has always been quite close at hand.
I'm no longer insecure, because she's very near,
She's the one I know, who truly understands.
She really is my friend, on her I do depend,
She makes me laugh and brings me peace of mind.
She is super, she is great, she is truly my best mate,
Gentle, caring , sweet and very kind!
