a little girl stands alone outside,
left out in the cold,
her daddy had abused her,
she was only ten years old,
tears had long past fallen,
her eyes were red from strain,
hugging herself to keep her warm,
she couldn't stand the pain,
suddenly I was feeled with an emotion,
that was powerful and strong,
to know this girl was innocent,
and had done nothing wrong,
where was her house and mommy,
where was her teddy and bed,
the saddest thing to find out,
was that her mommy was dead,
she looked at me and smiled,
and then began to talk,
thank you for being so kind,
can we take a walk,
I looked at her and smiled,
then tears came to my eyes,
to know this girl before me,
had faith that never dies,
she told me about her mom,
and how she loved her so,
and how it hurt her so much,
when she had to go,
she took good care of me,
kept me safe from dad,
whenever he got angry,
he would hurt us really bad,
he was the cause of mommy's death,
beat her until she died,
and when the cops found her,
they questioned him and he lied,
he locked me in the bathroom,
until they went away,
he would have been much nicer,
if he knew I would die today,
then a bright light shined down,
it was leading to the sky,
she softly kissed my forehead,
and simply said goodbye!!!!
