" Just In Time "   (lyrics to a song)

The forsaken child
Held captive within
Lost dreams
Almost forgotten hopes
Life remains just out of reach
When every step forward
Seems to push me further back.

Mind full of confusion
Feeling lost and torn
Seeking purpose or meaning
Ever so hard i try to begin
Living in a world, overwhelming
Tears cried out loud
Emotions only pretend

Just in time
          You opened your arms
Just in time
          You held out your hand
Just in time
          You simply led me in
Just in time.

Never saw the wisdom
In a world of darkness and gloom
Simply needing answers
My luck was running out
Now i'm at my wit's end
Only felt the pains of growth
Never expecting to win.

Many painful attempts
So close, yet still so far
Felt so all alone
Somehow I always managed
Somehow I fought my fight
Time and time again
Looking to the vastness of the stars.

Just in time
          You opened your arms
Just in time
          You held out your hands
Just in time
          You simply led me in
Just in time.

Searching for a beacon
An angel to guide me home
Walking down that lonely road
Never knew where it would end
There's a mystery in faith
With answers found in prayer
Now I see the path that leads to you.

With sincerest of heart
An honest devotion
Dreams come true
With your greatest gift of love
I opened my eyes
With tears of joy
And found you were always there.

Just in time
          You opened your arms
Just in time
          You held out your hands
Just in time
          You simply lead me in
Just in time.

***** Karin wanted me to write a song for her to put music to and sing.  This is my first attempt at a song.  Four months later, she made me turn ten shades of red as she sounded out my name to the Congregation, and then sang my words.
