Forgive And Forget
I know what I wanted to hear
I know what he didn't say
I know how bad it hurt me
How depressed it made me feel.
Why was his answer, I love you
Was my cry. Couldn't bear to
Let him go for I wanted to talk
To him so. Talk was his words.
Why he couldn't tell me he loved me,
I'll never know. It devastated me.
Broken heart and torn wings,
Will I be able to figure and forget?
Yes. Forgiving is easy, forgetting is not.
Over time, I'll quit hurting
Maybe he'll start learning
I still love him so I'll forgive him
And forget the pain he's caused.
